On July 12-16, 2010, Rolling Hills kids and their friends will head out to Tilikum for an AMAZING week in God's creation. Registration is closed to campers.
Lost & Found items will be located in the HUB until July 25. Any items still remaining will be donated.
Here's what you need to know to help make camp a success for your camper:
When:
- July 12 - campers arrive at Rolling Hills on @ 7:15 AM, return to Rolling Hills @ 4:45 PM
- July 13-16 - campers arrive at Rolling Hills on @ 7:45 AM, return to Rolling Hills @ 4:45 PM
All campers need to stop at the check in table on the first morning, then proceed inside the Fellowship Center to meet up with their group. Mornings 2-5, meet at your camper's bus. Do not leave until your child is with their leader.
BUSES LEAVE AT 8 AM SHARP!!! Buses cannot stop once they have left the RHCC parking lot.
Bring:
- Lunch, water bottle, swimsuit & towel.
- Closed toe shoes only [no flip-flops]. Rainy? Dress appropriately.
- Mark all items with camper's name.
- THIS YEAR BACKPACKS ARE GIVEN TO EACH CAMPER IN LIEU OF T-SHIRTS. THE BACKPACKS WILL BE GIVEN OUT ON THE FIRST DAY - PLEASE HAVE YOUR CAMPER BRING IT EVERY DAY. Campers will carry the backpack throughout the day, so keep it light!
Don’t Bring:
- CD/Mp3/Ipod players, cell phones, electronic games, squirt guns.
Cookies:
- Every child needs to bring 1 store bought package of cookies the first day. We eat them on the way home as a snack each day! NOTE: PLEASE, NO PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES OR COOKIES W/ PEANUTS!
Mark your calendar for Family Night on Thursday of camp week. Particpate with your child in some camp activities and enjoy a short program of day camp fun!

| Camp Activities
All of the activities at Tilikum cater to the various ages (1st-5th grade in fall of '10) and abilities of our campers.
- Water activities - including swimming, rafting, canoeing, kayaking and our water slide!
- Nature hikes
- Our famous Big Swing
- Archery (grades 3-5)
- Barn and Animals
- Mini-Zipline (grade 5)
- And much, much, more!
Tilikum Summer Staff are...
- College-age or older adults who are selected for their desire and abilities to work with children
- Committed to the Lord
- Specifically trained in the areas of program safety
- Trained to be sensitive to camper needs
- The camper's spiritual and personal growth is the focal point of our ministry. Staff are taught to recognize a teachable moment as a priority and an opportunity to point campers towards Jesus.
Safety
- Safety is a priority at Tilikum
- Tilikum is accredited by the American Camping Association (ACA). Tilikum has earned this mark of distinction since 1977.
- All summer staff have current certification in First Aid/CPR and Emergency Water Safety.
- The waterfront is supervised by lifeguards certified by the American Red Cross
Volunteer Counselors
- Volunteer counselors are an important key in helping campers to attain Tilikum's objectives
- The counselor's primary responsibilities are to be a friend and actively participate in the activities with the children.
- Counselors are oriented to Tilikum's programs in meetings held during the week of camp with time given to training, prayer, and discussion.
