The focus of Community Discipleship is to help people learn to think, love, and live like Jesus, and to reproduce that in the lives of others through relational environments. We seek to do this by helping people:
1. CONNECT OUR HEARTS TO GOD
Growing personally in our knowledge of God and His word and in relationship with Jesus, and becoming disciples who make disciples.
2. CONNECT OUR LIVES TO OTHERS
Growing in transparent relationships with others through small groups where we can experience and share the love of Christ in the context of the ups and downs of real life.
3. CONNECT WITH THE NEEDS IN OUR COMMUNITY
Engaging with our community through service and sharing the love of Jesus with our families, neighbors, coworkers, and friends.
In order to shepherd and support the Rolling Hills body of Christ in this Mission, five Pastors currently serve the communities that are part of Rolling Hills. These Pastors oversee four geographical regions—North, South, East, and West.
Monte Schmidt and Jerrad Lopes · South | Gregg Ramona · East
Administrative Assistant Sara Howard ∙ sara.howard@rollinghills.org
Bill Colton · North | Dave Carr · West
Administrative Assistant Becky Lomax ∙ becky.lomax@rollinghills.org
As the Regional Pastors and their leadership teams focus on deepening their ties within their communities, they are able to help people enter into the kinds of relationships where they can learn to think, love, and live like Jesus, and reproduce that in the lives of those with whom they “do life” right in their own homes and neighborhoods. Relationships are enriched when we join with brothers and sisters in Christ who live near us to jointly connect, serve, and reach out right where we live, play, coach, work, and go to school. Sharing the victories and struggles that result from those efforts will build and enrich our relationships, and, at the same time, our neighbors will be able to observe people they know exhibiting the love of Christ and impacting their community in a positive way.
