“Helping your children survive divorce.”

The focus of this seminar is to educate parents on how children respond to parental divorce, and the implications this has on their development spiritually, emotionally, relationally, etc. A major component of this is how to maintain/repair healthy parent-child relationships, with both parents, regardless of the marital discord.

Divorce is known to have a profound impact on children, one that results in their scoring lower on all measures of well-being. Children of divorce have increased emotional problems, higher rates of drug abuse, teen pregnancy, and even a higher rate of divorce themselves. In addition, when divorced parents remarry, once again the children are negatively impacted. Yet, there is hope. This lesson will give you time tested guidelines for helping your children. Divorced and step parent families do not have to be doomed to failure. With Biblically based interventions we can make a difference.

This class is facilitated by a professional therapist who has expertise working children & adults in divorce recovery. This class will include video, verbal, presentations, as well as a Q & A time.”
