Holy Week
The Way of the Cross
An important part of the Easter season is “remembering.” Between the joyful celebrations of Palm and Easter Sundays, you and your family will have an opportunity to participate in activities that will remind you of different aspects of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection. You may navigate the Way of the Cross stations at your own pace and in no particular order.
Visit the stations in the Atrium on Wednesday & Thursday, Mar. 31 & Apr. 1 · 4–8 PM
or Friday, Apr. 2 · 4–6 PM
Then, attend our Good Friday Service on Friday, April 2 · 7:30 PM
· The Way of the Cross Stations ·
1 · CLEANSING All of us come to the Cross with a history. At the Cleansing Station, you will have the opportunity to realign yourself with Christ and to see that your sins are not just covered, but actually disappear.
2 · COMMUNION At the Communion Station, you will remember the sacrifice Jesus made for you.
3 · PRAYER The night before Christ was betrayed, He prayed to His Father. At the Prayer Station, you will offer prayers of praise and thanksgiving for family, friends, community, and church.
4 · THE TRIAL We frequently defend ourselves, but Jesus did not defend Himself during His trial. At the Trial Station, you will read the accusations against you, plead guilty, and see how God stepped in to receive your just punishment.
5 · CROSS At the Cross Station, you will feel the weight of the hammer as you drive the nail into the cross.
6 · GRATITUDE Christ has done so much for us. At the Gratitude Station, you will journal your gratefulness and praise to God for His indescribable gift.
