Single Parent Support: A Ministry Group for Single Parents
We invite you into opportunities to thrive and grow, right where you are at, as a single parent…and deeper into our loving church family.
The Lord Jesus loves you and wants you to experience His care and provision as parents and children who are treasured by Him. Our focus will be experiencing His love, His invitation to prayer and His Word, and the freedom He offers us in circumstances that can be overwhelming and discouraging.
Single Parent Support is a ministry fellowship designed especially for single moms and single dads who are parenting children or teens on their own. Our group includes wonderful Mentors who will partner with us in relationships and prayer, together learning to think and live like Jesus and reproduce that in the lives of others. In addition, we will connect you with practical helps for all areas of life (financial, child care, household maintenance, etc.).
Our desire is to launch this ministry in the Fall.
We will meet every other Wednesday beginning September 22 from 6:30-8:00 PM.
A light dinner will be served from 5:45-6:30 PM for parents and their children - our gift to you! Children will go to their own ministry classes, called Confident Kids, from 6:30 PM until the end of service (8:00 PM). There they will learn from committed men and women, equipping them with biblical truth and healthy coping skills for life. Parents will then have this time to worship, receive encouragement from mentors and each other, share in prayer and the Word, and develop meaningful relationships of accountability and support.
As single parents, most of us have two full-time jobs: earning a living and raising children. Getting to “another thing” on a weeknight evening can be quite a stretch by the time we have arrived home, made dinner, and tried to make it back out the door! For this reason, we are inviting you to skip the dinner project and bring your kids here for a light dinner in a cozy, casual, friendly atmosphere! Arrive in time to finish eating by 6:30 PM.
